"We're all about outings!"

Within all of our nurseries, you will see our commitment to going outdoors! We love to go outside come rain or shine and we like to ask parents and carers to ensure that they bring in appropriate clothing (and footwear) for the weather. We are also extremely fortunate to have our own transport; between our sister nurseries (The Barn Day Nursery & St Erth Nursery), we share 3 vehicles so that we can take children further afield to give them opportunities that they would not otherwise recieve.

Our Allotment!

Every week we take a group of children to our very own allotment! Our allotment is a fantastic place for children to play and explore and develop imaginative and creative skill. We learn about our environment; living and growing and changes over time. Keep a watchout on our facebook page for latest news and updates!

Trips & Outings

If you hadn't already guessed it, we're mad about outings! We love to get out into the community to see what's on offer! We've been part of Stechford in bloom, we regularly go to the play park and field and we love welly walks!

We make use of our own 7-seater to get out and about. All our vehicles are insured appropriately and all places we visit are throughly risk assessed: copies of which can be emailed to you/viewed in the lobby.

We try to tie our trips and outings into your child's interests wherever possible; this is inline with our philosophy of learning through our interests and exploring through play.

What makes us special...

As well as all of our fantastic outings, there are many aspects to our nursery that make is truely unique! Take a look below to see what makes us special:

Teacher Led Provision

You will see our commitment to ensuring high quality childcare and education within all of our nurseries as we emply qualified teachers.

Pictured left is Joe (Early Years Teacher Status) who comes to our setting from time to time. He is based in our sister nurseries He assists in the day to day running and supports staff in the implementation of the curriculum.

Pictured right is Saima (Early Years Teacher Status & Qualified Teacher Status) and has worked with us for over 18 years! During that time, she worked in a school and trained as a teacher. Saima leads our preschool room and oversees the learning and education within the nursery.

Sensory Room

Take a l👁👁k at our Sensory Room!

We are very fortunate to have our very own sensory room (implemented by our Super SENDCo, Jenny) - this is a calming space for our children. In here we do sensory based activities, yoga and have a busy wall and lots of tactile toys for children to explore the senses.

Did you know we have 7 senses?

Little laces

We are delighted to announce that from March 2020, 'Little Laces' will be coming in to nursery on a weekly basis to teach children different sports! This is a wonderful ooportunity for children to learn about the effect and importance of physical excersise on our bodies. Keep a lookout on our facebook page for up to date news!

Cooking

Every week, we carry out cooking activities with children from all age groups! We always incorporate our cooking activities in with childrens' lunches; this is to teach children about how and where food comes from and making healthy choices.

We provide lunches for our children every day; these have been carefully planned to ensure that they are highly nutricious and well balanced. When cooking with our children, you will hear our practitioners and teachers talking about making healthy choices and the importance of a balanced diet.

As our menu changes on a weekly basis, please contact us to find out the different foods that we offer. We cater for a variety of diets (vegetarian, pescatarian, allergies and intollerances) so please let us know.

The Music Man

Every week, we have Keith come in and carry out music and movement sessions with all of our children. These sessions are fantastic for childrens ability to make movement in response to music. Additionally, these sessions are highly beneficial for children listening and responding to 'live' music; Keith brings in various instruments for children to explore and brings in a guitar which he used with the children.
